Wow! I just listened to the audio file for this assignment and it blew me away. I was not expecting it to relax me the way it did. I am absolutely amazed. The music alone made me let go of my burden and worries. Even though there was a lot of noise and distraction around me, I felt my body release the tension and every body part and sensation the voice described, I started to feel my body reacting.
I definitely believe that the mind can control the body in an amazing and powerful way. To illustrate, I have been experiencing discomfort in my abdomen and chest all day, but interestingly, during this relaxation recording, I did not feel it at all! I am going to save this file and use it in the future. Maybe it will help me quit smoking.

Jessie, I can agree that just having a few moments to listen and allow ourselves to take control over our mind and body released so much pressure. It was a feeling of peace out of my crazy life. I am glad that it worked in a powerful way for you. Great idea with saving the file for the future. Good luck
